Academic Committee Chairman's  Message

On behalf of Academic committee, I wish to declare that it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you all to 31^st MD Conference and 12^th FDI-MDA joint educational meeting 2011. I’m also extending the most earnest gratitude to all levels officials and scholars concerning and supporting this conference.

This conference aims to offer pure dental education at its highest level and upgrade your knowledge and skills. We have attracted a range of high level academic speakers from abroad along with local scientific papers, case reports and reviews.

It is our great honor to have Prof. Nigel King, Assoc. Prof. Gary Cheung and Assoc. Prof. William Cheung from Hong Kong, Prof. Masahiro Umino, Prof. Haruhisa Fukayama, Assoc. Prof. Susumu Nakachi, Prof. Norikazu Ohno, Assoc. Prof. Makoto Shiota and Mr. Kenji Matsuura from Japan, Dr. Anna Julianne Fruehbuss from Germany, Assoc. Prof. Seow Liang Lin from Malaysia, Dr. Shriju Joshi from Singapore and Prof. Dr. Aung Tun Thet and Prof. Ko Ko Maung from our country who are the esteemed speakers and specialists on their own fields, to join us for this Conference.

I would like to thank all the speakers for readily accepting to contribute to this conference and make it happen. You all will see that the choice of speakers reflects both academic and professional backgrounds and the presentations will therefore cover both theoretic considerations and practical approaches. I wish you interesting, lively and fruitful debates and this enables to return with a high confidence in the newly developed knowledge. It is our goal to empower you to drive your practice forward.
