Myanmar Dental Association celebrated World Oral Health Day 2013

Myanmar Dental Association celebrated World Oral Health Day 2013 on 20^thMarch 2013 at Sedona Hotel, Yangon. Oral Health Education lecture talks by Professor Tin Tun Hla and Professor Swe Swe Win, prize awarding ceremony to those who have won at World Oral Health Day Essay competition were included. The president of MDA presented certificates of honorary member and certificates of appreciation to the dental surgeons and companies who contributed Myanmar dental profession by donation.

Myanmar Dental Association Mid-year Meeting on 21^st-22^ndJuly, 2012...

Mid-year Meeting of Myanmar Dental Association will be held on 21^st-22^ndJuly, 2012. On 21-7-2012, there will be sport competitions (Golf and Bowling) and any member dentist can participate. On 22-7-2012, opening ceremony, dental show, Continuing Dental Education Program and meeting of MDA (Central) ECs and MDA Branches will be held. Invited speakers are Prof. Somchai Sessirisombat (Chulalongkorn University, Thailand), Prof. Than Sit and Prof. Ko Ko Maung.All member dental surgeons are cordially invited to attend without registration fees.

As one of the activities of Professional Protection Section, Myanmar Dental Association, Continuing Dental Education Program will be held on July 8^th Sunday, 2012. Professor Paing Soe, President of the Myanmar Dental Council will talk on "Ethics in Dental Practice" from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The lecture talk will be held in Central Hotel (Jade Hall) sponsored by Medi Power Co. Ltd.

32^nd Myanmar Dental Conference & 13^th FDI-MDA Joint Educational Meeting

32^nd Myanmar Dental Conference & 13^th FDI-MDA Joint Educational Meeting will be held on 25-1-2012 to 28-1-2012 at Sedona Hotel, Yangon. Distinguished speakers from FDI-World Dental Federation and from other countries, and local speakers will share professional, research, academic and clinical experiences. A dental products exhibition will also be held while the conference takes place during 25-28 January 2012. It will offer an excellent opportunity for companies to display their newly advanced products. Registration will be available on 23, 24-1-2012 at Sedona Hotel, Yangon. Continuing Dental Education Program for August, 2011 was held on 23^th August, 2011, Sunday

As Continuing Dental Education Program for August, 2011, a lecture talk was held on August 23^th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Prof. Thein Tut talked on "Oral health/Systemic health connection" and Prof. Myint Myint San talked on "Overview on Endodontics". The lecture talk was sponsored by Aye Thu Khan Dental Clinic, Khine Thant Zin Dental Clinic, Thant Dental Clinics and Dental OPD, YGH.

Continuing Dental Education Program for July, 2011 was held on 23^th July, 2011, Saturday

As Continuing Dental Education Program for July, 2011, a lecture talk was held on July 23^th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon together with mid-year MDA meeting. Prof. Sun Sun Win talked on "Dental problems encountered in early mixed dentition period " and Prof. Swe Swe Win talked on "History and Symbol of Dentistry " The lecture talk was sponsored by SHINE toothpaste.

Dentium Implant Training Course was held in Mandalay from 2-7-2011 to 3-7-2011

Dentium Implant Training Course was held in Mandalay from 2-7-2011 to 3-7-2011 under supervision of Myanmar Dental Association (Mandalay Division) and it was sponsored by Zizawa Health Care. On the opening ceremony, Dr. Win Maung Maung, Chairman of MDA (Mandalay Division), Prof. Thein Kyu (Rector, University of Dental Medicine, Mandalay, Dr. Saw Mra Aung (Chairman, Zizawa Health Care) and Dr. Myat Nyan (Course Instructor) delivered opening speech. Twelve dental practitioners attended the course and received certificates after completion of the course.

As Continuing Dental Education Program for June, 2011, a lecture talk was held on June 19^th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at MDA Hall Thingangyun Township, Yangon. Prof. Htay Htay Yi talked on "An Overview of Odontogenic Infections" and Dr. Myat Nyan talked on "Regenerative Therapy in Dentistry: Integration of Prosthetic Rehabilitation and Regeneration." The lecture talk was sponsored by Tun Thiri Dental Clinic.

As Continuing Dental Education Program for May, 2011, a lecture talk will be held on May 29^th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Professor Ko Ko Maung (Professor Emeritus) will talk on "3Rs in Dental Practice" and Dr. Nwe Nwe Aung (Head, Department of Oral Biological Science) will talk on "Tooth Form and Function in Human Dentition". The lecture talk will be held at the MDA Hall, Thingangyun Township, Yangon co-sponsored by Hnin Se Dental Clinic, Htay Dental Clinic and MH Dental Clinic.

Basic Implantology Short Course was conducted by Zizawa Company under supervision of MDA

Basic Implantology Short Course was conducted by Zizawa Company under supervision of MDA from 14^th to 15^th May in Park Royal Hotel. Dr. Myat Nyan, Secretary of Dental Implant Development Committee, University of Dental Medicine, Yangon instructed the course with lectures, demonstrations and hands-on including patient selection and evaluation, surgical and prosthodontic principles and impression taking and casting for implant restoration using Dentium implant system. At the opening ceremony, Dr. Myat Nyan donated 300,000 Kyats and bone substitute materials for Dental Implant Development Committee, University of Dental Medicine, Yangon. Twenty dental surgeons attended the course and certificates were awarded at the end of the course by Prof. Thein Tut, Prof. Pwint Hpoo, Prof. Swe Swe Win, Dr. Htay Myint Oo and Dr. Myat Nyan.

An implant hands-on seminar was held by MDA in collaboration with Chosan University, South Korea sponsored by DAS Tech Implant company.

Sixty dental surgeons attended the course from 7^th to 9^th May in Inya Lake Hotel.Professors, Adjunctive Professors and Associate Professors from Department of Prosthodontics, Chosan University gave the lectures and hands-on demonstration and practice were performed with DAS implant system.
